Indeed. No armour is complete until blood has been spilled!

Don't worry. There will be blood. Probably sooner than later. I just bought a razor knife to fix the protective tape on the boots :-)

Here are the boots. I think they turned out oki, considering the price I payed for them. My plan is to start with the e-11 now and then get going with the armour after that. I have a few crazy deadlines at work before midsummer but I hope to get some work done during the weekends at least. Is there some events in southern Sweden during the summer that I should try to get the armour ready for? I want to put it to good use as soon as possible :-)

Thanks. It took about 7-8 coats of leather paint (Angelus White Acrylic Leather Paint) and 2 coats of finisher (Angelus Acrylic Finisher). For the sides I used some textile paint I found at Panduro. The textile paint was really for light fabrics (not dark ones such as this), but it turned out oki after about 5-6 coats.

I've started slightly with the droopy e-11 kit now. I will go to the big city in the west (Kristianstad) this weekend to get some more tools that I require for this work. I'm also itching to get started with the armour itself, but I'm still doing research on all the build threads I keep on finding. I'm hoping for bad weather this weekend so that I can do some work on this (I promised my better half that we would go the summer house if the weather is nice...).

So, the e-11 is starting to shape up a bit. I have very limited capabilites to perform metal-work in my flat, so I've ordered the sight bar and bracket from elsewhere. Other than that I think it should soon be ready for painting. It was a bit hard to dremel out the OFF part of the magaizine but I think it worked out oki. Also I used epoxy from a drilled out hole in the magaizine to create the "bump" (by pressing it out from the inside). I still need to get some piece of wood or other material to attach the spring and charging handle to.
