Sorry for the lack of updates.
i have been busy collecting stuff for the different parts.

I decided to spend some money on the Godzilla mask. It arrived a week ago.

I was really impressed with the mask. The latex part and aluminum parts looked impressive.
On the downside, i think it has been a while since Adam made this kit. The leather pieces was stiff as boards.
i had to spend some time kneading them back to life.
And the fabric was way too brown for my likings. I decided not to use it. Maybe it can be used for the sash.

Aluminum, leather and the first pieces of fabric glued in place.

The almost finished mask. Needs more weathring.

While i waited for my mask i worked on the inner and outer robes.

I used Studio Creations pattern for the inner robe, and TK409s pattern for the outer robe.

i enlisted a friend to help with the actual sewing, since i havent sewn anything since my early school years.
it went pretty well. sadly i forgot to take pictures of this process.

I decided to try weathering the robes using tea.
i used 10 litres boiling water and a 100 earl grey teabags.

Since the inner robe almost had the colour i was looking i only soaked it for 2 hours and rinsed it.
the outer robe need more so the soaked for 10 hours.

Oh, and i tried throwing in some white leaher work gloves aswell. And some more fabric from the inner robe.
To use for bandages and maybe the sash.

Im not too happy with the colour of the outer robe. i might have to try some textile dye to get it right.

Heres a picture og the robes and mask combined.

What do you thing of the colour ??
