Need better spread on the light

Post by 47011 »

At the moment I have a 3W (yes i know it is a bit on the low side) red led driven by 6 AAA 1.5V batteries serial connected. In the blade I have cellophane plasic in a couple of layers.. In the top, I have some reflective tape to "bounce" the light back. This was the result:

(The batteries are a bit used and has not compared with new ones)

Do any of you have any tips or hints to get the light spread out a little more even. Or is better light source the only way? The led driver is 5-35V 700mA PWM.

BIltema do transparent red spraypaint (used for car brake lights etc). I used it on my Kylo sabre and it looked way better.

Did you spray directly on the tube or on something inside the tube?
