water bottle question

Post by 73012 »

I've been playing with the idea of installing a water bladder in my clone Trooper back armor where there artificial atmosphere unit is.

My question is, has anyone tried this before? I've been looking into military and hiking backpack water systems to use.

You can probably fit a camel back there without any issues.

Yes I've seen this, have a camelbak myself, the bag can fit anywhere really. The only issue with this is that it is impractical, the tube is a hassle around the neck (camelbaks are best accessible on a shoulder strap) and the water gets warm. I have developed such a great bladder control after many troops, that my stomach is a good enough water reserve.

But full breaks are more important. Fresh water, fresh air, and a break from the crowds can't be substituted and getting thirsty is a good reminder when it's time to head out. We see many who troop several hours with very few breaks, simulating the "real duty" thing, but 2-3 hours before a whole day event ends we see more troopers spread out on chairs and floors in the changing area than in costume. That's because kids suck the living force out of us. xD

Don't you guys just wish you had the TD backpack with endless refreshment solutions. I have hot coffee, sparkling water and juice in mine, all with taps.

You can get small camelbacks with 1-2 L capacity, and if you take off the insulation around the tube, the dont take up much space.
Warm water. Not a problem. In fact, when your body needs the water, its better to get water that is room or body temperature, as the body absords it better than cold water. Eg. if some one is dehydrated, you should NEVER give them cold water, as there actually is a possibility, that they will go into chock, due to the rapid change in temperature.
