Finished inner robe and started with outer robe. Inner robe might still need some adjustments, but seems to work fine.
Have made the belt punch and will finish the belt when the rivets arrives.
I will post a sewing pattern for the robes if anyone are interested. I did not have the patterns and made made the robe by trail and errors based on pictures from the movie and other sewing projects.

The sleeves are a bit long, but I will have the outer robe finished first so they can be adjusted together. I will also make it a bit longer, looks a bit short when I am wearing shoes.
Outer robe is soon finished and ready for dye. I have used two nights with the hood to get it look right, but now it starts to look like in the movie:) No sewing pattern for this anywhere, so it was a lot of trial and error.
Photo of inner robe laid out:

The arms are the same width all the way, based on pictures from the movie. Not like the "newer" where the outer part is wider. The top part is one length of fabric going from hand to hand and folded on the shoulders. The bottom is about 250cm long around with the same height all the way around that is folded in the waist and sewed on to the top part. The obi will cover this, so it will look good. I am quite certain that this is the same way that it is made in the movie.

The tabbard is just one long part with the same with. Seams will be covered by the obi.
The obi here was a bit narrow and I have made it wider to look right.

I think you might have a problem getting it approved with a cat attached to the front. Maybe it's in a Special Edition but I don't remember seeing Ben in Crazy Cat Lady mode...

The cat is removable. I would also think Old Ben more of a dog person:)
Dyed the robe brown yesterday, color looks good. Not a good picture though with bad light... This costume really have a lot of fabric. The weight is about 2kg for each of the robes.
Next will be adjusting the length of the arms and robe together with the inner robe to make it look as much like the one in the movie as possible.

The robes should fit like this when I am finished:

Old Ben is putting up the Christmas Light-saber

Robe, sleeves and hood is adjusted as close to the screen captures as I can get it.
Only details missing now before I'm finished.

Merry Christmas to you all! Next year I will apply to get the costume approved.
