We are being hit with a huge number of spam accounts at the moment. Because of that we have started a manual account approval process for all new accounts. Sadly the number of accounts is getting insane, 30+ per day.

To make sure your new account is handled as quickly and easily as possible, please make sure that your username looks like it might have been created by a person or be related to Star Wars or some other genre, eg Andrew.Walker or JediKnight rather than Stevie321 or prj&gfhsui. Also try to use a meaningful looking email address, eg andrew.walker@gmail.com rather than 897hsvnsd@spammail.net
