Last weekend we once again attended the Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game and Film Convention in Stockholm. As well as our usual Nordic Garrison members we were joined by friends from the Belgian and UK Garrisons. We collected over 10,000SEK for UNICEF and would like to thank everyone for their support.

As we announced a few weeks ago, we will be launching a prize competition at SSGFC in Stockholm. We are now pleased to announce our star prize. Click here for details.

Make sure you drop by our stand for your chance to win and, at the same time, make a donation to UNICEF. Don't forget that you can also have your photo taken with Darth Vader, Darth Maul and many other representatives of the Galactic Empire and make an even larger contribution to our work.

Just one week to go and we are going all out to make sure this is our best event ever. We hope to see you all there.

The Nordic Garrison are pleased to announce the launch of a new section of our website. During the last 18 months the garrison has grown at a fantastic rate and we have noticed that almost everyone who is interested in joining us asks the same questions, “Where can I get this part?” or “Is this helmet any good?” In order to try and help prospective members we have now created a Costuming section on this site. There you will find a guide to all the costumes our troopers own as well as the name of the one person who knows most about it and can help you find what you are looking for.

We hope that it is a great help to both prospective members and to current members who want to create a new costume.

Today we were contacted by Barncancerfonden in Sweden to thank us for our help during Erbjudandefestivalen in Stockholm back in July. In total the Nordic Garrison membes who were there colleted 9000SEK for charity. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who was involved.

Three Nordic Garrison troopers took part in the Ecco Walkathon, a 6 or 10km walk around Copenhagen. They had a really great time and took a few pictures for those of us who couldn't join them.

Congratulations to Sara and Rolf aka td-252 and tk-2306, who got married yesterday!

During Celebration Europe many of our members met Tsuneo Sanda, a Japanese artist and Honorary Member of the 501st Legion. The Nordic Garrison has a new Honorary Member. Lawrence Noble is a world reknowned artist and has done a great deal of work based on Star Wars including the Yoda statue outside the Lucasfilm offices in the USA and the Grand Moff Tarkin bust that was given away to a lucky winner at Celebration Europe. He is also a great guy and a good friend of ours. Welcome Lawrence.

Wow - what a weekend. We're back, a bit sore and tired but with a huge smile on our faces! A very nice event, with a lot of memories and new friends.

No less than 17 of our troopers (maybe more) are heading towards London as we speak.
The occasion is the huge Celebration Europe event where hundreds of 501st Legion members, Star Wars fans and LucasFilm will meet to celebrate the 30th anniversary at the Excel in London.
We'll take a lot of photos and write a full report when we get back!!!
